It was a relatively quiet day of writing for me in the Community Media Lab, which is back to its normal hours starting today, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Remember to drop by if you’re interested in anything like a tutorial on editing video using Apple iMovie, learning a digital tool like Storify, creating a social media account or community blog, learning to write AP style, and more. In all these cases, the lab offers its services, which include various workshops at scheduled times, to anyone for free as a community service.
As I mentioned I spent the day writing, primarily on some assaults that occurred early New Year’s Day in Ann Arbor. Earlier I wrote about a burglary at the Sprint store on Carpenter Road in Pittsfield Township and about the search by the sheriff’s office for the suspect who robbed a CVS on Monday in Ypsilanti Township at gunpoint. I also posted some recent police blotter items for Belleville and Van Buren Township for the week of Dec. 23.
