I’ve been trying to figure out how to get the most bang for my buck when it comes to Twitter posts. How do I get the most clicks possible for each Tweet? I’ve spent the morning researching popular hashtags to insert into my Tweets, which will hopefully expose them to new readers. Twitter has an option on your page where you can look at the trending Tweets in the world, country, region or local area. It’s a great way to find the latest trends.I also visited hashtags.org, which shows other popular hashtags.

Anyone have other suggestions on how to get my Tweets more exposure or places to find popular hashtags?

  1. If a former online coordinator can weigh in :). Don’t use too many hashtags in a tweet; using them every 3 or 4 words in a sentence will make a Twitter user get turned off. Use them for events as well if you notice them receiving wide usage (esp. during U-M football season).

Also, questions are good in a tweet, it leaves users wanting an answer and will in return want to know more. Just two quick pieces of advice!
