Friday was a pretty slow day in the Community Media Lab in terms of interaction with the community. I spent a little time in the morning setting up bookmarks in Google Chrome on the public blogging stations in the Community Media Lab. From Facebook and Twitter to WordPress and Blogger to BlogTalk Radio, Many Eyes and GeoCommons, there are about two dozen bookmarks. In addition to digital storytelling tools, I bookmarked Heritage.com, AnnArbor.com and other news websites, as well as our Community Media Lab blog “about” page.
Lunchtime was spent with blogger Ed Vielmetti at Beezy’s Cafe and my day ended with an interview with a candidate for a position with our group at Heritage-West. In between was filled with managing the 300-plus emails that fly in every day, and editing of stories for posting at Heritage.com.
My shift in the Community Media Lab Friday followed our launch party Thursday night. We had about two dozen visitors, including staff. Below are some photos from the event.
